Abstract:
To more efficiently detect a fetal defect using ultrasound images.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus according to the embodiment includes a matching dataset storage unit, an ultrasound image storage unit, and a processing unit. The matching dataset storage unit stores one or more matching datasets including an abnormal fetal characteristic and pregnancy period information. The ultrasound image storage unit stores a plurality of ultrasound images of a target fetus, including pregnancy period information. The processing unit selects, based on the pregnancy information included in the ultrasound images, a matching dataset which includes the pregnancy information corresponding to the pregnancy information, from the matching dataset storage unit, and then extracts a target image from the plurality of ultrasound images by pattern matching based on the selected matching dataset.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
