The image processing device comprises a three-dimensional image data storing means for storing the three-dimensional image data of a subject, a region setting means for setting a desired region of a tubular structure in the three-dimensional image data stored by the three-dimensional image data storing means from the three-dimensional image data, a core line extracting means for setting the core line of the tubular structure set by the region setting means from the three-dimensional image data, an orthogonal crossing section producing means for producing an orthogonal crossing section image orthogonally crossing the tubular structure based on the core line extracted by the core line extracting means, and a display means for displaying the core line extracted by the core line setting means and the orthogonal crossing section image produced by the orthogonal crossing section producing means at the same time as the image is produced.
