Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to previously grasp a resolution degree of an object in a virtual viewpoint video image to be generated in a routing setting of a virtual camera.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus generates a virtual viewpoint video image as a video image viewed from a virtual camera by using a plurality of viewpoint video images. The image processing apparatus comprises: derivation means of deriving a photographing region which is common to a plurality of actual cameras in each camera group constructed by the plurality of actual cameras having the similar field angle; and setting means of setting a parameter related to the virtual camera on the basis of a user input through a GUI. In the GUI, the photographing region in each camera group derived by the derivation means is displayed so as to be recognizable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
