In the image processing method for performing color conversion of inputted image data, the image processing method comprises: a conversion step of converting the inputted image data into device independent color space image data based on information containing a first parameter; and an inverse conversion step of inversely converting the converted image data into a device dependent color space image data based on information containing a second parameter. Furthermore, the image processing method comprises a determination step of determining at least any one of the first and second parameters based on a predetermined statistic in the inputted image data.
