In a method for obtaining input image data from an image optically photographed using the shooting lens and subjecting the input image data to predetermined image processing to obtain output image data, shooting information about the shooting of the input image is acquired, the input image is classified into predetermined groups according to the shooting information, an aberration correction to be used to correct an aberration of each input data in each group caused by the shooting lens is stored together with the shooting information, an optimum value for the aberration correction to the input image data classified into the group is calculated for each group, and the input image data classified into the group is subjected to aberration correction on the basis of the optimum value of the aberration correction.
