PURPOSE: To allow even an unskillful user to easily use the image processor by receiving image information and editing the image information based on the edit condition entered interactively according to display including character strings.
CONSTITUTION: An image information forming unit is made up of an image processing control section 100 conducting control of the image processor and storage or the like of a processed image and up of an edit station, and the edit station is made up of an edit station control section 450, a console section 200, a stylus pen 280 and a CRT 300. Then the console section 200 is provided with a digitizer 240 used to point out an area of an original with the stylus pen 280 by the operator and a command menu section 220 on which various command keys are arranged, and the operator uses the console section 200 to edit the image or the like. Then an image edit condition is entered interactively from the console section 200 according to the display on the CRT 300 including a character string and the image information is edited based on the edit condition.
