Abstract:
To simplify wiring and improve the signal transmission performance.SOLUTION: A control board 6 includes a first connection part 68 and a second connection part 69 such that the first connection part and the second connection part are arranged on a rear side B with respect to the center of a first reading unit 4 in a housing in the main-scanning direction of the first reading unit 4. The first reading unit 4 has a connector which is arranged on the rear side B with respect to the center of the first reading unit 4 in the main-scanning direction. The second reading unit 5 has a connector which is arranged on the rear side B with respect to the center of the first reading unit 4 in the main-scanning direction. A first cable 45 and a second cable 55 are arranged on the rear side B with respect to the center of the first reading unit 4 in the main-scanning direction. An image processing unit 62 detects an edge of the tip of the conveyed document in an image read by the first reading unit 4, and performs correction processing on the images read by the first reading unit 4 and the second reading unit 5 on the basis of the edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
