PURPOSE: To prevent an ink nozzle from clogging and to reduce a manufacturing cost, by a method wherein a heating element of a thermal head is driven according to an image signal, and vaporized ink is made to pass through moisture permeable non woven fabric to be adhered directly to recording paper.
CONSTITUTION: When an image signal is read from an image memory 10 and is set to all bits of a shift register 11, the image signal of the shift register 11 is inputted parallel to a latch circuit 12 to be latched. An AND circuit 13 is enabled to actuate a drive transistor 14 according to the image signal of the latch circuit 12. Thereby, a heating element 15 is heated according to the image signal. That is, a thermal head 4 is caused to be driven, and liquid dye 1 adjacent thereto is vaporized following heat generation. At that time, the vapor is charged with a back electrode 6, and is transferred toward a counter electrode 8. The vaporized liquid dye 1 passes through the moisture permeable fabric 3, and is adhered directly to recording paper 6 to perform printing.
