Abstract:
To provide an image reproducing device which is convenient to confirm summary of recorded moving image data beforehand and to retrieve it.
First, a first image of moving image data is shown as an index on a display 10 at the time of reproducing the moving image data recorded on a recording medium 7. A user reproduces data the user wants to perform index editing of and when a desired image is reproduced, the user selects the image with an index selector 12. As a result, the selected image is stored in a storage area for file management data of the medium 7 and the image selected by the selector 12 is shown as an index in the next initial image.
