PURPOSE: To apply the image transfer device even to a display device which is used as a terminal device of an on-line system by providing a means which writes specific data in an area encircled with a rectangle and the contour of an image, a means which reads it out, and a means which data except the specific data in a transfer destination storage part.
CONSTITUTION: This image transfer device is equipped with the specific data writing means 13 which writes the specific data in the area encircled with the calculated triangle and the approximated contour of the image, the data read means 14 which reads the data in the area, and the data writing means 15 which writes the data except the specific data in the transfer destination storage part. The image recognition process by the approximating process, rectangle calculating process, and specific data writing process can be performed fast even by software since the process quantity is much smaller than that of an image recognizing process by pattern recognition. Consequently, the image transfer device is applicable to the display device used as a terminal device of the on-line system.
