Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of detecting an occurrence of a flash band with high accuracy and a control method of the same.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device in which pixels each including a first photoelectric conversion unit and a second photoelectric conversion unit having different light receiving sensitivities are arranged in a matrix; a reading unit that reads out a first video signal on the basis of signal charge generated in the first photoelectric conversion unit in a first accumulation period during an imaging cycle and a second video signal on the basis of signal charge generated in the second photoelectric conversion unit during a second accumulation period during the imaging cycle; and a flash band detector for comparing a luminance distribution of the first video signal with a luminance distribution of the second video signal to detect a start line and an end line of a flash band.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 31
