Abstract:
To improve an image blur correction function in generating an image with an angle of view smaller than that of an omnidirectional image, in an imaging apparatus capable of generating an omnidirectional image by using a plurality of imaging lenses, and a control method of the imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is capable of generating an omnidirectional image by using a plurality of imaging lenses. In an operation mode of generating an image with an angle of view smaller than that of the omnidirectional image, the imaging apparatus identifies an imaging range required to generate the image, on the basis of the difference between a reference posture and a present posture. Then, the imaging apparatus validates the imaging lenses required to image the imaging range and invalidates the imaging lenses not required to image the imaging range, among the plurality of imaging lenses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
