Abstract:
To downsize a lens driving mechanism.
An imaging apparatus comprises: an optical system; driving means for giving a driving force to the optical system; drive instruction means for giving a drive instruction to the driving means; imaging means to which subject information is inputted by the optical system; evaluation value calculation means for calculating a contrast evaluation value according to an output of the imaging means; associating means for associating the evaluation value calculation means with a drive target value of the optical system; and control means 111d for controlling the driving instruction means on the basis of the output of the associating means.
