Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a focusing display excellent in convenience in an imaging device capable of selection of a main subject.SOLUTION: Subjects are detected from an image to select a main subject from the detected subjects. When the main subject is focused, if the main subject is selected based on an instruction of a user, regardless of a difference between a result of a focus detection for a focus detection area corresponding to the main subject, and a result of the focus detection for a focus detection area corresponding to the subject other than the main subject in a predetermined depth of field, a focusing display for a subject in the predetermined depth of field is displayed so that a display mode of a focusing display for the main subject is different from a display mode of a focusing display for the subject other than the main subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
