Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of connecting and using various external connection devices.SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging device comprising an accessory shoe to which a first external connection device and a second external connection device can be selectively connected, and a control unit which controls the first and second external connection devices via the accessory shoe. The accessory shoe includes a plurality of signal terminals. When the first external connection device is connected to the accessory shoe, the control unit controls the first external connection device via at least one of the plurality of signal terminals. When the second external connection device is connected to the accessory shoe, the control unit controls the second external connection device via at least one of the plurality of signal terminals. At least one of the signal terminals used when the first external connection device is connected and at least one of the signal terminals used when the second external connection device is connected have a commonality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
