Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging diagnosis catheter which can effectively prevent liquid leakage to a base end side.SOLUTION: An imaging diagnosis catheter 100 has: a drive shaft 102 where an inspection wave transmission reception part 101 is provided at an end part; a sheath 103 where the drive shaft is freely rotatably housed; a liquid injection part 112 which is provided for a base end side of the sheath, communicates with an inside of the sheath, and pours liquid; and a liquid leakage protection part 114 which is provided nearer the base end side than the liquid injection part in an axial direction of the drive shaft. The liquid leakage prevention part communicates with the drive shaft and rotates, so that at least either liquid flow having a velocity component to an end side in the axial direction or scattering of the liquid guided outward from a rotation center side.
