Title:
IMMUNOGENIC PEPTIDES AND USE THEREOF IN IMMUNE DISORDERS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015142578
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel immunogenic peptides and homologs thereof for prevention or treatment of allergy or autoimmune diseases.SOLUTION: Provided is a method of identifying population of CD4+ cytotoxic T cells against the antigen presenting cells, where the method identifies T cells expressing CD4, not expressing IL-10 or TGF-beta, expressing Knox-20 and forming granzyme and Fas ligand. The immunogenic peptides of the invention comprise a T-cell epitope of an antigen (self or non-self) with a potential to trigger an immune reaction when presented by a class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) determinant and recognized by CD4+ T cells, more specifically, a T-cell epitope of an allergen or auto-antigen which is coupled through a linker to an amino acid sequence having a reducing activity, such as a thioreductase sequence.
