Title:
IMPELLER FOR MOTOR-DRIVEN BLOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0783197
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of air from a gap so as to enhance efficiency by setting a width of a square hole formed on a fan plated approximately the same as a thickness of the blade plate and a thickness of a claw for fixing a blade smaller then a thickness of the blade plate.

CONSTITUTION: When an impeller 28 is rotated at a high speed together with a rotor 24, centrifugal force is exerted on air staying between fan blades 32 so that the air is discharged to the outer periphery of the impeller 28 at a high speed. Since a thickness (b) of the fan blade 32 constituting the impeller 28 is approximately the same as a width (a) of a square hole 34 formed on a front fan plate 30 and a back fan plate 31, no gap is generated between the square hole 34 and a claw 33 when the claw 33 is inserted into the square hole 34, thereby preventing leakage of air. Consequently, 100% of air sucked from a suction port 28a of the impeller 28 is discharged from the outer periphery of the impeller 28, thus enhancing efficiency of the impeller 28.
