Abstract:

To obtain an impregnated cathode body structure which has mall fluctuations in the cut-off voltage caused by changes from being left standing of a cathode temperature, and no weld defects at the time of manufacture, and also to obtain its manufacturing method.

This subject body structure has a porous substrate 10, which is composed by sintering a high melting-point metal, a high melting-point metal substrate 20, which is located on at least one face side of the porous substrate 10 and sintered on the porous substrate 10, and a holder 30, which has a face 30a contacting to the surface 20a of the high melting-point metal substrate 20 arranged on the porous substrate 10, and can hold the porous substrate 10 in a state in which at least one other face side is exposed. Consequently, the impregnated cathode body structure 1, in which the porous substrate 10 in which electron-emitting material has already been impregnated is held by the holder 30 via the contact face of the high melting-point metal substrate 20 and the holder 30, is composed.
