To provide an improved magnetic single-component toner composition which contains neither an electric charge agent nor heavy metal.
Magnetic toner particles contain at least one kind of polymer binder and at least one kind of magnetic additive and the surfaces of the toner particles contain inorganic particulates which can electrostatically be charged to the positive polarity. Those inorganic particulates have a mean volume mean size of about 0.5 to about 7 μm and a cleaning ratio of about 0.1 to about 5.0. This cleaning ratio is obtained by dividing the volume percent of particles of 0 to 1.0 μm in size by the volume percent of particles larger than 1.0 μm. Those toner particles have a fluidity improving agent of at least about 30 m2/g in BET surface areas on their surfaces.
