Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an efficiency of a speed reducer by supplying an appropriate amount of lubricant oil to the speed reducer and to improve cooling performance at the speed reducer.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an in-wheel motor drive device comprising a motor part A, a speed reducer part B, a bearing part C for a wheel, a casing 22 storing the motor part A and the speed reducer part B, and a lubrication mechanism forming an axial oil supply structure for supplying lubricant oil from an oil passage 22a of the casing 22 under operation of a rotary pump 51 through a motor rotating shaft 24 of the motor part A to an input shaft 25 of the speed reducer at the speed reducer part B. The lubrication mechanism includes oil holes 25d-25f arranged at a plurality of locations from an upstream side toward a downstream side of the oil passage 25c and connected to the oil passage 25c and opened outside the input shaft 25 of the speed reducer, and an equivalent pipe passage diameter of each of the oil holes 25d-25f is φ0.5 mm or more and φ4 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
