To provide a Gram negative bacterium inactivating agent effective in inactivation of Gram negative bacterium, and a use method of the inactivating agent.SOLUTION: A Gram negative bacteria inactivating agent of the present invention is a highly alkaline electrolyte having a pH value of 12.1 to 13.2, a negative redox potential, and a dissolved hydrogen concentration of 200 to 1500 ppb. Preferably, it is a highly alkaline electrolyte bacteria deactivating agent having a pH of 12.5 to 13.1, a redux potential of -300 to -1100 mV, and a dissolved hydrogen concentration of 400 to 1300 ppb. More preferably, free chlorine is 0 ppm. A method of spraying the Gram negative bacteria inactivating agent in the form of a mist or foam, or in the form of a micro-sized mist into a space from a sprayer or a spraying device, and attaching it to an object to be protected from Gram negative bacteria; alternatively, a method of attaching the gram negative bacterial inactivating agent to the object to be protected by immersing the object to be protected in the Gram negative bacterium inactivating agent, or washing the objected to be protected in the Gram negative bacterium inactivating agent, or applying the Gram negative bacteria inactivating agent to the object to be protected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
