Abstract:
To provide an inattentive driving detection system which can be retrofitted to a vehicle and excels in detection accuracy.SOLUTION: An inattentive driving detection system 1 comprises an acceleration detection device 2, a vehicle interior camera 3, a front camera 4 and a control unit 5. The control unit 5 predicts an automobile 10 traveling a curve on the basis of an image photographed by the front camera 4 and when it is predicted that the automobile 10 travels a curb, determines on the basis of the lateral acceleration detected by the acceleration detection device 2 that the automobile 10 is traveling a curb, and sets on the basis of the lateral acceleration detected by the acceleration detection device 2 the permissible range of a driver's visual line while traveling the curb when it is determined that the automobile 10 is traveling the curb. The control unit 5 further detects the driver's visual line on the basis of the image photographed by the vehicle interior camera 3, compares the direction of visual line with the permissible range of visual line, and determines the presence of an inattentive driving.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
