Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an incident device for both positive ion and negative ion having the functions of a positive ion incident device and a negative ion incident device.
CONSTITUTION: An incident device for both positive ion and negative ion has electromagnets 1, 3, 4 arranged on the circumferential orbit center, a bump electromagnet 2 arranged between the bump electromagnets 1, 3 so as to have a prescribed positional relation to the circumferential orbit center, and a carbon film 5 arranged between the bump electromagnets 2, 3. The functions of the bump electromagnet and a septim electromagnet are imparted to the bump electromagnet 2, so that the bump electromagnet 2 functions as the bump electromagnet at incidence of negative ion beam, and as the septim electromagnet at incident of positive ion beam.
