Abstract:
To provide an indentation test machine capable of setting a zero point through simple operation.SOLUTION: The indentation test machine comprises an indenter 10, a housing 20 placed in a state in which a part of the indenter projects, a contact portion 21 which is brought into contact with an analyte after the indenter when the indenter is pushed in the analyte by operating the housing, and a force sensor 30 which detects force acting on the indenter. When the amount of change with time in detection output of the force sensor is less than a first threshold and the amount of change with time in detection output of an inclination sensor is less than a second threshold, an automatic zero-point setting unit 43 sets output of the force sensor at that time to a zero point. If an operator who operates the indentation test machine stops the indentation test machine for a predetermined period of time prior to push-in to the analyte, the zero-point settings in the machine are automatically carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
