Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative transmitted light-type indicating instrument in which transmitted illumination is used in an index part and the appearance of a display panel is enhanced, and to reduce the number of printing processes of the display panel.
SOLUTION: The indicating instrument is provided with a display panel 5 having an index part 4 in which transmitted illumination can be used, and a transparent printing layer 20 which is located apart from the area of the index part 4. A control layer 21 controlling the amount of the transmitted light has a gradational printing layer so that the amount of transmitted light passing through the display panel 5 gradually changes from the standard value at a certain point or line in the area of the transparent printing layer 20. The control layer 21 is formed on the surface of the transparent printing layer 20. The indicating instrument also comprises a shading layer 15 which is a background of the display panel 5, a trimming part 21A (15A, and 25A) of the index part 4, as well as the control layer 21. Thereby, a lighting apparatus using the display panel 5 which is innovative, three dimensional and highly attractive can be provided, and in addition, the number of printing processes of the display panel can be reduced compared with conventional apparatuses.
