PURPOSE: To provide an industrial robot which easily hold a handle in a specified attitude regardless of the quantity of turning displacement of a work arm.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a work arm 3 is rotatably supported by a hollow fixed shaft 2 and a handle 5 is fixed to the hollow turning shaft 4 pivotally supported at the other end of the work arm 3. An energy conductive bar bodies 6 are inserted into the hollow sections of the fixed shaft 2 and turning shaft 4. Wrapping bar bodies 11 are wrapped around the wrapping ring bodies 9 of the fixed shaft 2 and turning shaft 4. With this constitution, the relative displacement of the work arm 3 to the fixed shaft 2 when the work arm 3 is displaced due to turning is transmitted to the turning shaft 4 through the wrapping ring bodies 9 and wrapping bar bodies 11 to hold the handle 5 in a specified attitude in a space relative to the turning displacement of the work arm 3. With this constitution, the occurrence of damage of the energy conductive bar bodies when the work arm is turned and displaced is eliminated.
