After the information apparatus writes mail, the apparatus designates a host name and transmitting time (1), and, after designating the host name and transmitting time, stores the mail in a mail box (2). The host name is the information for indicating the mail processing host which controls the transfer of electronic mail and the transmitting time is the information for indicating the desired execution period of the transmitting process. The mail stored in the mail box is managed, based on the clock information obtained from an RTC and transmitted at appropriate timing within the designated transmitting time after a notice to a user is interposed as necessary.
