This information handover system is provided with at least two servers, and one server is used as an active system server 11, and the other server is used as a stand-by system server 12, and the active system server executes a process according to a service request signal received through a network, and transmits a service reply signal on a network. The current system server transfers at least a service request signal to the stand-by server, and the stand-by system server stores the service request signal, and monitors whether or not any failure occurs in the active system server, and when any failure occurs in the active system server, determines whether or not its own stand-by system server is replaceable for the active system server. Then, when recognizing that the stand-by system server is replaceable for the active system server, the stand-by system server executes a process in response to the service request signal, and transmits a service response signal on the network.
