To provide an operationally excellent information input device that enables an input of much information in fewer operations.

The information input device 7 comprises a rotary input part 10 having an operating dial 16 with a bore portion 31 substantially at the center such that a rotation of the operating dial 16 inputs given information, and a tilt input part 11 having a stick 33 fixedly inserted in the bore portion 31 formed in the operating dial 16 and adapted to tilt in a given direction to set a switch on/off such that a tilt operation of the stick 33 inputs given information. When the information input device 7 is mounted on, for example, a cellular telephone with a GPS function, a longitudinal or lateral tilt operation of the stick 33 can scroll a map displayed on a display part and a rotary operation of the operating dial 16 can scale the map.
