Abstract:
To reduce the storage capacity of a storage means holding records and also to effectively register the information.
When a plurality of records having common second information are registered, a file updating means 14 holds each piece of first information at a real file storage part 6 while holds only one of pieces of second information at an index storage part 8. The first and second information are stored in the first and second storage means together with their corresponding index codes, respectively. Thus, a file display means 20 combines together the first and second information of the same index codes to reproduce an original record and outputs this record to a display device 22 to display the complete information there.
