Abstract:

To provide a system in which an input and output device is shared among a plurality of information processing apparatuses connected through a communication network even during starting the OS of an information processing apparatus.

An information processing apparatus 1 provided with user interfaces 15 and 16 has a user input and output device 6, a driver program storage 14 for a driver 7, the user interface 15 for the driver program storage, and a program storage 13 to emulate information processing apparatuses 3 to 5 using the user interface 16. In the information processing apparatus 3 not provided with user interface, a BIOS storage 33 stores NC check programs 331, address acquisition programs 332 to acquire a second address number for the information processing apparatus 3, and programs 333 to establish a link to the information processing apparatus 1. In addition, an OS storage 34 stores programs 341 to succeed the second address number and programs 342 to succeed the link to the information processing apparatus 1.
