Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rewrite a rewritable nonvolatile memory by the execution of a program without separately providing a rewrite program memory.
SOLUTION: This processor is provided with a flash memory 2, a flash memory controller 3, a data memory 7, a data memory controller 24 and a CPU 1 for executing an instruction. In this case, the CPU 1 supplies a first address 4 to the flash memory controller 3 or the data memory controller 24 in the case of reading an instruction and supplies a second address 21 to the data memory controller 24 in the case of reading and writing the data. Then, the data memory controller 24 reads or writes the data memory 7 by using the first address 4 or the second address 21, and supplies the data read by using the first address 4 to the CPU 1 as the instruction. Then, the flash memory controller 3 reads or rewrites the flash memory 2 by using the first address 4.
