Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely select a device and to reduce data destruction by lighting a lamp on a connected external memory device in advance.
CONSTITUTION: When processing in unit of device by connecting the external memory device is performed, a preliminary selection lamp to perform preliminary identification is lit on an arbitrary device. In other words, when software 21 selects the arbitrary device, an OS (operating system) 23 issues software interruption (INT 1BH) to a BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) 25. The BIOS 25 discriminates to which device the interruption is issued, and lights the lamp of the arbitrary device. In such a way, it is possible to surely select the device, and to reduce the data destruction.
