Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to increase familiarity and presence as compared with the reading of characters by converting a mail sent as character information into a previously registered mail sender's voice and reproducing the voice.

CONSTITUTION: The information processor is provided with a voice information storing means 4a for storing the voice of a specific speaker as voice information, a voice information selecting means 5 for selecting the voice information of an electronic mail sender out of the stored voice information, a voice synthesizing means 10 for synthesizing voice information corresponding to the character information of the received electronic mail based upon the selected voice information, and a voice reproducing means 12 for reproducing the synthesized voice information. Namely, a CPU 5 inputs the character information of the mail to the synthesizing part 10, which synthesizes voice information corresponding to the character information based upon the selected voice data. Since the contents of the mail can be reproduced as voice information based upon the sender's voice, a receiver can increase presence and familiarity with the mail as compared with reading out it as characters.
