PURPOSE: To easily confirm the use state by providing a photographing means which becomes ready to operate by placing a 1st and a 2nd part in a nearly horizontal state across a hinge part.

CONSTITUTION: The 1st part 3 which has a liquid crystal display 2 as a display and the 2nd part 5 which has a keyboard 4 as an operation part are coupled together by the hinge part 6 consisting of two hinges; and a photography optical system is incorporated in the hinge part 6 and a lens part 7 is arranged at one end part of the hinge part. The 1st and 2nd parts 3 and 5 are spread to 180° around the hinge part 6 and a detection part provided to the hinge part 6 detects the 180° spread to open a lens barrier, so that the mode is switched to a photography mode where photography is ready. In this photography mode, corresponding operation elements of the keyboard 4 function as setting buttons for various photographic conditions and a trigger button for photography, and the liquid crystal display 2 functions as a liquid crystal viewfinder 2a for photography.
