Abstract:
PURPOSE: To lock a carriage which is driven by a voice coil motor without using a dedicated driving source and a detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: Guide shafts 10 and 11 are provided with a mount base 14 so that it can be driven in a Y direction by a pulley 19 fixed to a rotary ultrasonic motor 18 through an a winding belt 20, and an optical head 17 which is driven by the voice coil motor is provided above the mount base 14 so that it can move in an X direction. When an optical card C is discharged, a lock pin 25b is locked to a lock member 26 through a slide member 21 and an arm member 25 as a lock mechanism provided to the pulley 19, thereby locking the optical head 17.
