The main controlling part 5 is provided with a mode setting part 13 for functioning an information recording device 1 in either an initiator mode or a target mode, and the main controlling part 5 is provided with a prescribed storing part 9 for storing a program 11 for testing for inspecting the transmitting and receiving operation of a signal with another information recording device 21, and function firmware 12 for inspecting the operation in the information recording device 1. In this case, the main controlling part 5 is provided with a test controlling part 15 for executing the program 11 for testing in the initiator mode and executing the function firmware 12 in the target mode according to the command of the mode setting part 13.
