Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an infrared detector with a cold shield which is so constructed as to prevent breakdown of the cold shield and a glass inner tube. CONSTITUTION:In an infrared detector with a cold shield which is equipped with the cold shield 28 having an opening 28a formed opposite to a light-sensing part 22a of each of multi-element type infrared-ray detecting elements 22 and restricting the quantity of background light entering the light-sensing part 22a of each element 22, the infrared-ray detecting elements 22 are mounted on an inner tube 6, while the cold shield 28 and a wiring takeout part 26 are molded of ceramic monolithically. A monolithically molded article 24 prepared by metallizing a part 30 of the wiring takeout part 26 is mounted on the inner tube 6 and an electrode pad of the infrared-ray detecting element 22 and the metallized wiring takeout part 30 are connected 32 by wire bonding, by which the detector is constructed.
