Title:
INFRARED DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3565337
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared detector having a thermal interface having good heat conduction efficiency without causing the deterioration of the contact pressure (spring property) to a cold finger and a cold plate.
SOLUTION: This detector comprises an infrared sensor 5, a vacuum vessel 2 for vacuum-holding the space between an outer wall 2a and an inner wall 2b, and a cooling means for cooling the infrared sensor and a cold shield 3. The thermal interface 7 to be provided between the cold plate 6 provided on the end surface of the vacuum vessel inner wall 2b and the cold finger 8 provided at the tip of the cooling means is formed in a double structure consisting of an outer cylinder 7a formed by winding a metal foil such as copper or the like having a high heat conductivity and an inner cylinder 7b formed by winding an elastic metal foil such as bronze or the like. The outer cylinder is pressed to the circumferential direction by the elastic force of the inner cylinder to hold the contact pressure between the cold plate and the cold finger. A plurality of thermal interfaces 7 is juxtaposed, whereby the sectional area of a heat conducting route is increased to enhance the heat conduction efficiency.
