Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable highly accurate measurement in a wide wavelength range with actual application of a spectroscope for Josephson junction, by adjusting a mirror in the optical path to make three lights incident simultaneously on a light detection element as required for the derivation of optical characteristics.

CONSTITUTION: A halfmirror 4 and mirrors 5-1 and 5-2 are arranged in the optical path of infrared rays and the reflected light R1 with the halfmirror 4 is made incident on a photo detection element 8-1 for a Josephson junction from a monchromatic light from a light source 1 by adjusting them. The reflected light R2 and the transmission light T2 from the sample 6 are made incident on light detection elements 8-3 and 8-2 respectively. These lights are allowed to be incident into a light detecting section for the Josephson junction simultaneously and the quantity of the respective lights is measured with three photo detection elements to determine optical characteristics of the sample 6. This enable actual application of a spectroscope for the Josephson junction thereby assuring a highly accurate measurement in a wide wavelength range.
