Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet recording, which can prevent bubbling therein for a long period of time, is excellent in long-term delivery stability and long-term ink stability, is free from clogging, and exhibits good printing performance.
SOLUTION: The ink composition for inkjet recording contains at least a coloring agent and an N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone oligomer in an amount of 0.1-5 wt.% based on the whole ink composition. The N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone oligomer used preferably comprises one having a degree n of polymerization of 2 to 20 from the viewpoints of ink viscosity, inkjet performance and the like. Two or more oligomers different in degree of polymerization may be used for the ink.
