Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the clogging of ink, by a method wherein the inside of porous elastic component is wetted by ink and at the same time, the elastic component is compressed by applying a voltage corresponding to a picture signal between electrodes, while the ink is jetted from nozzle.

CONSTITUTION: The electrode 4a is floated above the porous fiber component. When a voltage (10VW10kV) corresponding to a picture signal between the electrodes 4a and 4b, Coulomb force is operated between those electrodes and the floating electrode 4a is shifted toward another electrode 4b. Thereby, the ink in the porous component is pushed out and the ink is forcibly risen through the nozzle part 2 consisting of capillaries of 50W100μm order and jetted toward the recording paper 6 from the outlet. When the voltage is interrupted the Coulomb force between the floating electrode 4a and the counter electrode 4b is vanished and the floating electrode 4a returns to the original position by the restoring of the porous material.
