Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer for a cash register capable of printing receipt printing information in high quality at high speed and of surely executing a maintenance operation of a head.
SOLUTION: A print head is constituted of an ink jet print head that prints on a receipt paper by jetting ink supplied from an ink cassette to form ink dots corresponding to receipt printing information. A head maintenance means for executing a maintenance (cleaning) operation of the ink jet print head by forcedly sucking (or ejecting) the ink from the ink jet print head is provided. The head maintenance means is so constituted that the maintenance operation can be started in a condition that the maintenance execution condition is effected and further, the receipt printing for a present customer is completed.
