Title:
INK-JET RECORDER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WIPING RECORDING HEAD IN THE APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3565335
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder which can obtain a stable wiping effect for a nozzle formation face by a wiping member however a platen gap is adjusted.
SOLUTION: A position of the nozzle formation face 15a of a recording head is changed by an operation of adjusting the platen gap. As a result, an interference amount (L1 or L2) of the wiping member 11 for wiping the nozzle formation face 15a to the nozzle formation face 15a is changed. A slide contact pressure by the wiping member 11 to the nozzle formation face 15a is accordingly changed, which decreases the wiping effect when the platen gap is large. Therefore, when the platen gap is large, the decrease of the wiping effect is compensated for by reducing a wiping speed or increasing the number of wiping times.
