PURPOSE: To set image forming speed regardless of an ink supply time by providing a drive means driving a plurality of ink heads and circulating the respective ink heads between an ink flying position and an ink supply position.
CONSTITUTION: One rod-shaped rear electrode 6 composed of aluminum and arranged in opposed relation to all of electric field forming electrodes 1a is arranged to the position opposed to a slide electrode element l through a material 10 to be recorded. As the material 10 to be recorded, commercial copy paper is used but an OHP film can be used. An ink head 2 is rotationally driven by a drive means to stepwise feed the material 10 to be recorded by a feed device while a voltage pulse is produced in a voltage source 8 and a synchronous voltage source 7 in synchronous relation to the timing bringing a charge injection electrode into contact with the electric field forming electrodes 1a to form an image. By this constitution, the next flight of ink can be performed without waiting the re-supply of ink into a slit as is conventional and an image is formed efficiently at a high speed.
