Title:
INK-JET RECORDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3855387
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ink-jetting stability by cooling the ink in an ink-jet head for discharging an ink from a nozzle so as to record an image on a recording medium.
SOLUTION: An ink-jet head is moved to a home position, facing with a cleaning device. At the time, a Peltier element 56 is driven in the cooling state so as to cool down the ink in an ink channel 40. Accordingly, bubbles in the ink channel can be removed by being dissolved completely in the ink, or can be smaller. Then, by driving a cleaning device, the ink is vacuumed from a nozzle 46 so as to eliminate the residual bubbles with the ink. Since the bubbles are sufficiently small with respect to the nozzle diameter, they can be discharged easily from the nozzle 46. Accordingly, the state without having bubbles in the ink channel 40 can be maintained.
