Title:
INK JET RECORDING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6157343
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the titled device into a static acceleration type which can be turned into a multinozzle, by a method wherein insulated ink is made to charge by making use of drift charge and the ink is made to fly from the tip of a nozzle through electrophoretic force.

CONSTITUTION: Insulated ink introduced into an ink chamber 1 flows within a porous material 3 as per an arrow 14 through mechanical vibration of a bimorph vibrator 6 to be driven through voltage V13 from a driving circuit 13. Then the ink possesses electric charge by receiving drift charge. The ink having the electric charge moves in the direction of a nozzle 8, swelling 15 is built up from the tip of the nozzle 8 according to a vibration of the vibrator 6. When, therefore, a signal voltage VN is applied to a space between a signal electrode 9 and a back electrode 10, irregular electric field is formed in the vicinity of the swelling 15 part. In consequence of the above, even when the nozzle is turned into a multinozzle state, a strong electric field is generated only on the swollen tip part, static attraction is acted upon a space between the ink and the back electrode 10 and ink particles fly to a recording material 11, discrimination can be performed.
