Title:
INK JET RECORDING HEAD AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3221101
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an ink jet recording head in which a high printing quality can be maintained by heating a porous base previously impregnated with compound containing fluorine in a vacuum tank, and evaporating the compound to form a water repellant film on a surface of a nozzle for discharging ink.
CONSTITUTION: When a surface of a nozzle of a nozzle plate 4 for discharging ink of an ink jet recording head is treated with water repellency, a porous base 37 previously impregnated with compound containing fluorine is heated in a vacuum tank 31 to evaporate the compound to form a water repellant film on the surface of the nozzle. As a result, a water repellant film having excellent water repellant characteristics and durability is uniformly formed in the easy step without steps of masking only the surface of the nozzle, thereby obtaining the head in which high printing quality can be maintained.
