Abstract:

To obtain the subject ink for preventing ink bronzing and enabling printing of high optical concentration of recording, by providing an ink comprising a mixture of a dye, water and a water-soluble organic solvent with a specific penetration into a recording paper.

This ink comprises (A) a dye (preferably a cyanic dye or black dye) and (B) a solvent liquid and has 10-15mL/mm2S1/2 water absorption coefficient to recording paper. Preferably the content of the component B in the ink is 5-50 pts.wt. Preferably the recording concentration of the ink is ≥1.3. Consequently bronzing of ink can be prevented and high recording concentration can be expected without impairing water resistance of printed paper.
